Meet Our Team
Meet Malcolm & Patricia Lewis
For more than four decades, Malcolm and Patricia Lewis have been the custodians of Longueville Manor, continuing a family legacy that began when Malcolm's grandparents transformed the historic manor into a hotel in 1949. Today, as the third generation of the Lewis family to lead the business, they remain deeply involved in every aspect of hotel life, ensuring Longueville Manor retains its independence, character and reputation for exceptional hospitality.
As an independently owned hotel, Longueville Manor has never been driven by shareholders or corporate targets. Instead, Malcolm and Patricia have built a culture centred on people, quality and long-term relationships. Every investment they make, from beautifully designed guest rooms and gardens to staff development and wellbeing, is guided by a simple question: "Would we love this experience ourselves?"
Their greatest pride is not only the hotel's awards and international reputation, but the people who make Longueville Manor what it is. Many members of the team have built long and successful careers here, reflecting a workplace where respect, kindness and collaboration are at the heart of everyday life. Malcolm and Patricia believe that when colleagues feel valued and supported, they deliver extraordinary experiences for every guest.
Joining Longueville Manor means becoming part of a family business with a genuine passion for hospitality. You'll work alongside leaders who know your name, encourage your development and are committed to creating an environment where people can grow, thrive and take pride in delivering the exceptional standards for which Longueville Manor is renowned.
"For three generations, our family has cared for Longueville Manor with the same simple philosophy: look after our people, delight our guests and never stop striving for excellence. We invite every member of our team to be part of that journey."

Meet Andrew Baird
Andrew Baird has been at the heart of Longueville Manor's kitchen for more than 35 years. After training at The Ritz in London and Hambleton Hall, he returned to the Manor as Head Chef in 1990 and has since helped build its outstanding culinary reputation through classical techniques, exceptional local produce and a passion for hospitality.
Andrew believes great cooking starts with the finest ingredients, many of them sourced from Jersey's coastline and the Manor's own Victorian kitchen garden. Just as importantly, he believes great kitchens are built on teamwork, mutual respect and a willingness to learn.
Joining Andrew's brigade means becoming part of a supportive, professional kitchen where curiosity, craftsmanship and collaboration are encouraged. Whether you're starting your career or looking for your next challenge, you'll have the opportunity to learn from one of Jersey's most respected chefs while developing your own skills and confidence.
"Great kitchens are built on great people. We look for chefs who are curious, committed and proud of what they do. At Longueville Manor, you'll be challenged to grow, supported by your team, and given the opportunity to develop your career while working with some of the finest produce Jersey has to offer."
